Farming in a Cost of Living Crisis

We welcomed Hannah Thomas, Rural Affairs Correspondent for ITV Wales News to the farm to discuss how the cost of living crisis and the ongoing conflict in Ukraine was impacting farming.

As rising costs place additional pressures on the agricultural sector, we discussed the knock-on affect this was having on mental health and how organisations such as The DPJ Foundation were seeing an increase in calls from farmers needing help.
Educating the Next Generation

Wonderful to be part of the lead feature on BBC Radio 4's Farming Today program this morning.

We visited Romilly School in Barry as part of their drive to educate pupils on where food comes from. It is a topic close to our hearts.
We regularly link up with youth organisations to teach the next generation that food comes from fields, not supermarkets and that buying local is better for the animals and better for the environment.
